franklin

i just wrote this whole entry & blogger deleted it. let me try this again.

franklin was awesome. just what i needed.
less talking, more pictures.

this is us outside our favorite breakfast spot, Sunset. there's a sign around back where cars pull up for curbside/takeout service. it says, "Thanks for being our backdoor guest!" i think that's hilarious. because i'm very, very immature. (i was your MOM'S backdoor guest! OOH SNAP!)

here's steve at Whistlestop, the antique mall. he's trying really hard to obey the sign.

this was my big find at Whistlestop this year:

the picture's really bad, and it's something new made to look like something old, which i usually hate, but hey it's SUNDROP.

creek walking with steve & kate...

so there's this place called the Factory that's like Chuck E Cheese on speed. we spent friday evening there. we played a round of mini-golf, rode the bumper cars and even played this trippy video game in which you milk a glowing cow udder. but mostly we just played craploads of skeeball. we ended up with over 700 tickets which we cashed in for a potato gun, a miniature pool table and this weird, inflatable thing called a Hoverdisc.

we took it down to the meadow.

it's advertised as "defying gravity!"

the video is shitty quality but it's worth it to see me get hit in the head by the hoverdisc.

we also found bubble solution in the cupboard and amused ourselves with that.

since our flight was so late, we were able to snag dinner with catherine & joel and congratulate them on their NEW HOUSE which i’m sooooo freakin’ jealous of.

no, that's not a picture of their house. that's an ice cream parlor. although it would be pretty sweet to have a neon sign on your house. perhaps this will be a future goal...

sometime this weekend, i’ll scan all the stuff i’ve been meaning to scan so i can post more ridiculous pictures. back to maryland, work & reality for now...

Niiiiiiiiiiice

Great pix. Inspirational.

When are we going again?

Be sure to scan things in sooper hi resolution so I can download them. No file size is too large. Well, maybe. Like 300Mb per picture. That would be too large. Maybe I can set you up something so you can upload to my domain? Hmm...
