i was looking through pictures the other day and ran across this one and i can't believe i never posted this before. truly an unacceptable oversight. this was another of my lazy-sunday-afternoon-at-Pangea creations, from the same era as
Nuts & Jews. i intended to do an entire post about these arts & crafts moments, but i kept forgetting to take pictures of the Official Pangea Club or the magnetic letters i made from bumper stickers. next time i visit maryland i'll have to make a point to document these things. in the meantime, here's an altered newspaper article:

did anyone ever see that Steve Martin movie called Leap of Faith where he plays the touring evangelist/faith healer? there's a part in the movie where his staff makes up random phrases and dares him to try to work them into his sermons. i wonder if there was a similar dare going on among Washington Post staff writers. i'd imagine you'd earn a lot of points for using the phrase "unruly cock" in a major newspaper. well played, sir.

listen to the malcolm gladwell story on the link. He was a wash. post writer and COMPLETELY did try to work in phrases like unruly cock...
k
I'm such an npr nerd that it even hurts me.
that was awesome. i hope that one was a true story and not a tall tale.
this has nothing to do with NPR or unruly cocks, but have you seen WALL-E yet? if not, you MUST MUST MUST. it is brilliant and there are 42nd Street references throughout.
just realized the i keep saying 42nd Street when really it's Hello Dolly. (those were the two Summer Enrichment shows i wasn't in so i lump them together.)
