sorry i haven't written much lately. the past couple weeks have consisted of:
- major spring cleaning (yes, i know it's summer but my gawd we have so much crap)
- stressing out about work
- worrying about a bump on zoe's head (most likely a histiocytoma - thanks wikipedia!)
- reigniting my crossword puzzle obsession
- watching a lot of buffy the vampire slayer...to the point where i'm having dreams about it.
the last two are evidence that my geekiness increases with age, instead of vice versa. i turn 28 tomorrow but that doesn't really bother me. for some reason i've been thinking of myself as 28 for about 6 months now. i guess 27 didn't have the right ch'i. 28 seems more stable.
update on this situation:
it occurred to me that if i got called for a job interview, i would have nothing to wear. during our recent purge, i've given away bags full of office clothes that don't fit me anymore. so first i made the rounds to all the cheap places like consignment shops, target, etc. trying to find a bargain. nothing. nada. there was some appropriate stuff at target but on me it looked like a little kid trying on her mom's clothes. the eventual result was that i ended up dropping $120 at anne taylor loft. but hey, at least i look good. too bad it takes so much effort and so much money to make me look like a grownup.
