i have ringworm.
that sounds like i'm in a support group.
"Hi, my name is Megan & I have ringworm."
"Hello, Megan."
i got ringworm from tommy's cat. or at least, i'm assuming so. tommy's an animal control officer, so i guess technically i could've gotten it via his couch via any of the dozens of mangey animals he touches on a daily basis. is that how you spell mangey? it doesn't look right...
so anyway, i had to stop by cvs on my way home from work last night and i couldn't find the anti-fungal creams, so i had to ask the pharmacist. the store was busy & kinda loud and the counters are way too high in those places so i was standing on tip-toe, yelling "I HAVE RINGWORM! WHERE'S THE ANTI-FUNGAL?"
a humbling experience? yes, just a bit.
and i know ringworm isn't exactly the social equivilant of genital herpes, but i still feel rather dirty & ashamed, like this reflects badly on me somehow. my husband, king of the off-color puns, said this is what i get for stroking someone else's pussy. but you probably saw that coming from a mile away.
