super-husband

my bosses fight. a lot. this is weird for me because i instinctively shrink from confrontation. it's also weird because they're married. i have never heard mr. boss say something nice to his wife. i've heard neutral things and i've heard nasty things, but never nice. mrs. boss is stubborn, meaning she won't back down from a fight and she won't change the behaviors that lead to those fights. most mornings start off with them ridiculing each other very loudly from their offices.

steve finds this amusing because he comes off looking great in comparison. when i come home from work, i often greet him with a kiss and a whispered romantic musing, like "i'm so glad you're not an ass" or "i love the way you don't cruelly mock me."

but steve's pretty darn awesome in his own right, so he needn't worry that i'm grading on a curve or anything. today he gave me my christmas present. he couldn't wait until christmas. he barely held out until december. and, of course, it's perfect. not sure what else to say. he's just one sweet dude.

check out my present. the pinky-orange one is mine, or at least one that looks very much like mine. and here's an earlier mention of my present. while you're at it, check out her entire blog which i've been reading for over a year and am completely hooked on.

that is all. goodnight.

Meguin!!!

It was awesome seeing you for a few seconds in Sunflower. If I seemed a little strange, it was because I had just gotten back from a fairly distressing time with the fam in NYC.

Families. Grrrrff.

On the upside, I'll be going to Sunflower twice this week! Yay!!! Happy New Year, indeed...

Miss you,
Julie

great to see you too! that was so random. when we stopped at sunflower on the way north i thought, wouldn't it be strange to run into julie? but then i thought, how silly of me. that would be way too much of a coincidence.

hooray for fake meat bringing people together. :)
