we were amusing ourselves at work by checking out a website that lists holidays & awareness days/weeks/months for the calendar year. here are some fun ones for march:
March 11th - Middle Name Pride Day (thank god. i've felt nothing but shame for so long...)
March 13th - National Open An Umbrella Indoors Day
March 20th - Great American Meat-Out (give it a try! http://www.meatout.org/)
March 22nd - International Goof-Off Day
March 25th - Pecan Day
i have to wonder why Goof-Off Day was deemed worthy of international status while others weren't. was there a failed attempt to make Open An Umbrella Indoors Day an international holiday? poor, neglected Pecan Day can't even call itself "national".
National Procrastination Week starts tomorrow, but i probably won't get around to celebrating it for another couple of weeks.
